MV Logos Hope in Cebu

Yesterday, I was able to visit MV Logos Hope which prides itself as the world’s largest floating book fair. The book fair includes thousands of books on business, leadership, values, technology, religion, children and the classics. A multimedia installation of a biblical parody was also among the come-on of the ship. The ship’s overall theme is very much on international camaraderie, values formation and religion while shying away from relevant issues of poverty, inequity, and unequal relations among countries.

Biblical Parody Multimedia Installation

This was my first time on board a floating book shop since I passed up on the previous visits of MV Doulus, sister ship of Logos Hope, and availed myself of its relatively cheap books.

Logos Hope is currently docked at the back of the Malacañang sa Sugbo and will open until February 14. Entrance fee is at PhP 20.00. It is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. On Sundays from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
